The project pitch written below, rehearsed and deliverable in two minutes, sums up the reason, the vision and the implementation of Comeonwithit.com’s initiative to establish a faith-based, Word-centered drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Crawford County, PA.
The Project Pitch
Okay, so here goes. Comeonwithit.com is where it all starts. We write a book at the blog called, “How I See the World Can Change. 58 Words That Release My Potential to Love and Live.” These 58 Words from the Word become lessons.
Our students go through 58 lessons from the Word of God. As a result, the way they see the world will change, and their potential to love themselves, their families, and their friends will open wide. They may even feel alive for the first time since before the addiction began.
There is nothing better than helping someone see a different perspective when all they normally see is their own pain.
Okay, all of this happens at our spot called “New Creations.” New Creations is our own locally operated, Crawford County, PA, faith-based, Word-centered drug and alcohol rehab and education center, short-term and long-term, with its own
proprietary curriculum. We look toward expansion as well when we have experience with a proven, sound model.
Project Pitch Steps
The vision will never stay small, but it has to go in small steps.
So, step #1 – produce the curriculum.
Step #2 entails all the planning.
Step #3 builds it and gets all the pieces in place; staffing, policies, program structure, legal aspects, etc., etc. The business plan will certainly cover all the bases.
Up Until Now
Here’s my favorite part. An extremely important part of the program revolutionizes the industry with a podcast series entitled “Up Until Now.” Students get an opportunity to go a step further. When they finish the 58 lessons, they get to actually put their pasts behind them and experience what it means to know there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
“Up Until Now” helps each person to mark a slash across the timeline of their lives and say, “Up until now, this has been the way it was.” Then they get to choose to step over that line in the sand and start their new lives with grace for new beginnings.
Alcoholics and addicts walk away from this experience with the best chance they can get, and their experience remains forever immortalized in the cloud. Anytime they think of turning back, they can go to their link and listen to how it used to be for them. I know lives will be changed. I have no doubts. Bless the Lord!
Additions to Comeonwithit.com
Okay, so I said Comeonwithit.com is where it all starts. We’ve already added Christians.comeonwithit.com. The next site may be writers.comeonwithit.com or financeinformation.comeonwithit.com or maybe even physicalfitness.comeonwithit.com or historicalfictionwriting.comeonwithit.com or gettingridofanxiety.comeonwithit.com. Each of these sites expands the vision giving our students opportunities to learn and contribute. In addition to these internet ventures, right from the beginning, we plan to have our own recording studio and video recording suite and radio station. We plan to communicate our message and spread the Word across the local culture.
We are looking to create community partners with individuals and organizations. The goal is to fix the whole. Great people do amazing things, so we can definitely work together.
We have other plans as well that I am not even able to release through this medium.
It’s commonly accepted that lives are being destroyed, and quite honestly, the children are the ones hurt the most. That should make us more than angry. It should make us do something on a grand scale to change it. We can’t hide the light any longer, the darkness only takes advantage of our silence.
-End of Project Pitch-
That is basically it. What do you think of my project pitch?
Please comment below with your thoughts: criticisms, additional ideas, or whatever comes to mind. Drug and alcohol addiction is our whole nation’s problem, and we need each other to truly fight it.
Okay, as far as a project pitch goes, I must say it was difficult to write. I have had so many ideas that I have wanted to develop into projects. I have always been told to think of being on an elevator with someone. In that moment, I would only have a couple minutes, if that, to deliver my project pitch to my audience.
